Total departure from writing about beautiful homes yesterday – all in the name of a certain 12-year-old son’s birthday party.
Enchanting interiors were momentarily replaced by the sights and sounds of go-karts whizzing at full tilt around a track, the smell of burning rubber and petrol fumes. Mind you, it was great fun and a total adrenalin rush.
I reckon it’s good to do something completely different now and again and, if you’re a parent, it’s lovely to share these experiences with your children. However, I have to say, I’m quite glad to be immersed in my world again this morning.
