Fantastic weather \u2013 perfect for a superb shoot in sunny (thankfully!) West Sussex.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The location was a gorgeous cottage \u2013 the one dating from 1511 that I wrote about back in January. The home, owned by Carrie and David Brixey, is in a stunning setting, right on the edge of the Goodwood Estate.<\/p>\n<p>From the moment I walked in, my eyes were drawn to some atmospheric photographs of the South Downs hanging in the couple\u2019s fabulous new kitchen. Turns out that the shots were taken by the Brixey\u2019s photographer friend, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chestertugwellphotography.com\">Chester Tugwell<\/a>.\u00a0A few years ago, Chester\u2019s wife <a href=\"http:\/\/www.katetugwellportraits.com\">Kate<\/a> painted a remarkable portrait of the owner\u2019s father (below) which now takes pride of place in the Brixey\u2019s cosy beamed dining room. You can view this talented pair&#8217;s work by clicking on their names.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">\u00a0As the Brixey\u2019s story of their renovation unfolded, I discovered that the enterprising owners haven\u2019t just transformed their home with love, style and charm; they\u2019ve also recently opened their doors for B&amp;B, in conjunction with events at Goodwood.
